The vision of a museum that is community-based, open to the public, responsive to social changes, began to be developed back in the 1970s, but efforts to reorganize museum institutions and increase their contact with social contexts continue to this day.
The visitor who comes to the museum does not want to feel the barriers of exclusion, he wants to feel welcome and his own. In turn, the museum, by organizing exhibitions, presenting relevant exhibitions, creating technological products, hopes to receive feedback – the so-called “benefits”. If at least one side does not feel satisfied, then there is a problem in establishing a connection between the institution and its user. As in any relationship, it is important to delve into the needs of both parties when in a relationship, because no one wants to continue a relationship that does not satisfy them. Therefore, it is important for the museum institution to find out the visitor’s expectations.
